David Sensei's thoughts.

Hello everyone! I'm going to start a new section in this Blog. About once a week on Tuesdays or maybe Wen, I will say my thoughts about this weeks topic. Sometimes I will say things I strongly believe in and sometimes crazy things.  If you agree or disagree with me please comment.  The more people who comment the happier I will be.

Ok this weeks topic farms.

I grew up in a farming town, particulary milk and cheese farms. My hometown Bega, is very green and grassy hills covered in black and white cows is something I saw everyday. It looks very nice and pieceful and it provides a lot of people with milk, cheese and other foods. But is this a good thing? Most humans will say yes, The Australian Aborigines from along time ago said no. 200 years ago all the farming areas used to be forests full of wonderul wildlife including a lot of koalas. Much of the land was destoyed and all the trees were cut down. Many animals died or lost their homes. Koalas have never been seen in this area since. The Aborigines lost their homes too.
Many years ago the Aborigines lived in piece with all the animals and everyone was happy. Food was always available and nature was well balance. Today Humans control the balance and most of the land in my home town is used for only humans. The same thing is true for the entire world. Before humans farmed they hunted and somedays they had no food and went hungry. This kept the balance of nature. But after humans started farming we were able to never go hungry and now their are almost 7 billion people on Earth.
Farmed land in the Amazon jungle
Today we have over-farmed the world and good fertile land and clean water is running out. In the amazon jungle thousands of kms of trees and animals and destroyed to make crops that make grain. This grain is used to feed many chickens and cows around the world and these chickens are cows are used to  for KFC and yakiniku shops and most supermarkets and shops in the world. After these crops have been harvested many times the soil becomes infurtile and the farmers move on to cut more trees. So now where the Amazon jungle used to be it is a 2 or 3 day drive along empty plains before reaching the start of the jungle.
What I'm trying to say is that we are overusing the land and soon we will run out of space and a lot of the farms will die so we will run out of food. Americans eat the most food in the world and they destroy the most land in the world too. They also throw away the most garbage in the world too with large amounts of uneaten food. Americans can be very wasteful people sometimes and the worlds land is used for nothing. RIght now China is becoming a strong country and Chinese people want good lives like Americans. Chinese are not as wasteful as Americans but they are some of the most unfriendy people to nature.  So I think with too hungry greedy countries useing up all the worlds food. The world is going to be in big trouble soon.
Japan gets most of its food from other countries so if the food starts running out those countries will no longer give food to Japan. I'm lucky because Australia is one country that sells alot of this food. So can just go home and live of my home town farms again.  But in Japan people should start making their own little farm just in case.  The best solution of course is not to waste food and everyone please be ECO friendly!

  2. Yes I understand what you want to say. The gramma and sentance structure is a little wrong but you communicated a very difficult topic so you did very well.
A more correct sentance may be something like this:
I think its a very difficult problem. People who lead a luxurious life are not able to live in a simple life. If Japan is stopped from importing, Japan will become like life in the postwar. We do not know hunger. But, my ideal answer is self-sufficiency.

Yes I think self-sufficiency is a good way so we have to study how to do farming.
